Trouble logging in to the Loan Service Net?

When trying to access the LSN, are you finding your connection keeps timing out?

Ensure your internet browser Cookies and JavaScript are enabled.

We have found that accessing the LSN via an Internet Service Provider's (ISP's) proxy server often causes the problem of connection timeout.

Proxy servers maintain copies of web pages, to make web surfing faster. However, as the Internet changes from static to session based web sites, the use of proxy servers can cause problems.

The LSN is a session based environment, which means that each dialogue is unique and secure. ISP's that use a proxy server may maintain copies of previous visits to the LSN, which may interfere with new sessions.

As the LSN requires that each session is unique, using the LSN via a proxy server can create access difficulties for some users.

Some ISP's still set up clients by default to use a proxy server when they initially connect. Clients who choose to bypass the proxy server can access the Loan Service Net.

This issue is not unique to the LSN. Other session based web sites have similar problems with proxy servers.

To improve your connection to teh LSN, firstly make sure your browser is the latest version. Internet Explorer 6 can be downloaded at www.ie.aust.com.

You may also turn your proxy servers off. This can be done for different browsers:

Internet Explorer

From the drop down menu's at the top of the screen:
Select Tools
Select Internet Options
Select Connections
Select LAN Settings (towards the bottom of this page)
Ensure that Proxy Server is NOT ticked
Select OK
Select OK
Then close Internet Explorer, then restart and try again to go to the web site

Netscape

From the drop down menu's at the top of the screen:
Select Edit
Select Preferences
Double Click on Advanced (the last option in the Category list)
Click on Proxies (the second last option in the Advanced list)
Select 'Direct Connection to the Internet'
Select OK
Then close Netscape, then restart and try again to go to the web site
